What Is a "Double Chance" Bet?

A Double Chance bet is a type of wager where you minimize your risk by covering two out of three possible match outcomes with a single bet. Unlike a standard 3-Way Bet (Win, Draw, Loss), where only one result is correct, with a Double Chance, you win if one of two scenarios occurs.

This type of bet is particularly popular for games where you're unsure if a favorite will truly win or if the underdog might manage a draw.

With a Double Chance, you can choose one of the following combinations:

  • 1X (Home Win or Draw): Your bet wins if the home team wins OR the match ends in a draw. You only lose if the away team wins.
  • X2 (Draw or Away Win): Your bet wins if the match ends in a draw OR the away team wins. You only lose if the home team wins.
  • 12 (Home Win or Away Win): Your bet wins if the home team wins OR the away team wins. You only lose if the match ends in a draw.

Example: Football match Bayern Munich vs. Borussia Dortmund

If you bet on 1X (Bayern or Draw):

  • You win if Bayern wins (e.g., 2:1)
  • You win if it's a draw (e.g., 1:1)
  • You lose if Dortmund wins (e.g., 0:1)
